Hello from Green Bay, WI. Well I joined the forums awhile ago, finally posting some pictures of what I brought home. A guy at work that was having another kid sold this to me for $1600. Came as you see it with $800 in new tires on it. Really solid jeep except the rust in the floorboards i need to repair (thanks to the WI roads). Here is what I do know:
1993 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4X4
160,000 miles
Was told its got a 3" lift, but I'm hoping you all will be able to tell me more about it if I get some underside images.
31" tires
4.0L H.O. engine, 5 speed AX15 tranny, with the 231? Part Time transfer case

Thanks,
Tim

Here are some under pics to try and determine any details on the lift:
Behind the front wheel (notice the floorboard rust, ewww)

In front of rear wheel

Again in front of rear wheel

behind rear wheel

Does this help anyone?

Nice Jeep. It's a 2 door Sport optioned Jeep.. bet ya already knew that. The wheels are called Grizzly's and were OEM on some years.
Looks like possibly an OME (Old Man Emu, australian brand top knotch) or a Rough Country lift. Judging by the yellow shocks.
The rear leaf springs look like they are an AAL, Add a Leaf which would lean towards RC lift again.
You also have aftermarket front lower control arms. Unsure the MFG'r.
Looks like you need to strip the interior and break out the welder for floor work.

Well its one of my DDs. Offroad will mostly be limited to old logging roads. We have alot of cars get wrecked by the deer population so one of the first things im looking at doing is getting some protection up front with a new bumper / brush guard and getting some more lights.
I was going to put 4 on the roof, but after reading WI law, anything on the roof has to be covered on the Highway. Also, I think we can only have 2 aux lights (4 total) on at a time.
Thanks for the help guys!

Most of the good quality lights come with covers, Hellas and KC for sure. PIAAs and many others so covering them is not a problem. Most ppl have four on the roof and a couple on the bumper.
Many aftermarket bumpers are very stout and can probably stand up to a deer. Check our vendor section and you may find what you need.
The floors should be a high priority to catch that rust before it gets worse.

Thanks Blue. The rust is pretty bad in the bottom, i can see the carpet in some places. So, here are my options:
1.) Buy floor replacements $63 X2 and drop them in with some kind of adhesive.
2.) Invest in a wire welder (found one on craigslist for $150) and get some metal stock to patch it up.
Either way I'll do some truckbed liner or somthing to cover it up, which do you guys reccomend? I'm currently leaning twords the welder, because most the money i put into that I can use for other things later.

Welder but don't waste your money on a flux core wire welder get a light duty mig with the gas. You can do so much more with it and it will handle heavier metals.

Looks like a good score to me, (Plus it's red)
Buy the panels of saw them off another Jeep.
Take out the carpet and bring it to the local highschool autoshop and get them welded for free.
The kids can't do that bad a job and it's only a floor that nobody will see.
Seal up the weld when done with seam sealer.
Happy trailing.

Are there adverse effects like needing a SYE, long arm, or anything that would go along with this? It rides pretty good right now.
