well i was a sand rail kid before i traded my little rail for a jeep.
i was going to completly change the entire jeep in the summer, so anything i do will be then.
ill get in contact with a couple of guys and i will make a write up.
i don't think i will break CV's too much, i know a couple of rail that don't have that problem and they do massive jumps in the duns. plus a couple of rock crawlers don't have too much trouble.

One word for you: research
And lots of it.
Like was said, you can do whatever you want if you have enough money to throw at it.
Research is cheap. Can't get any cheaper than FREE.
Seeing as how you are a relative newbie to the XJ, my advice to you is hold off on tearing into your Cherokee until you are a little more "well versed" in XJ-ism
You may find that your goal is easier achieved by some means other than complete redesign that can cost alot of money and down-time of your Cherokee.
BUT, if you are deadset on IFS/IRS set-up than I say...Go For It.
Make sure you have lots of aspirin. You'll need it.

Search for Jeep speed. I don't know much about it but they're into the go fast stuff as far as XJ's go.

Yeah Jeep Speed is what you should be looking for. Those cherokees are built for baja-ing. With a properly setup suspension, a solid axle cherokee can go where those IFS buggies go. I would say stick with your solid axles and lift, chop, and suspend you jeep to fit 35's and be as low as possible. Low is the key. These trucks don't handle like sand rails do. Tippsy when the going get fast.

ya that monster energy thing is what i wanted to do with the Xj body. i know keeping the lift low is what is key to going fast (center of gravity). hence y i want a small suspension lift but pull the diffs up to get more ground clearence.
thats the idea anyways. u guys know more then me, hence y im asking
but ill look into that jeep speed. that youtube video is sweet, but the terrain needs to be a little rougher.
in fact my buddy took me to a mudding spot, unfortunetly it was dry, but the ruts were amazing and we were flying through the trails at 30mph and then drifting and donuts all over the corners... all in all i was impressed, the jeep handled exelent and my buddy now wants one (he has a f150)
