Im thinking about doing some lifting on my jeep, and i want to keep it kind of cheap. Im thinking about going up about 2 inches, i want to be able to comfortably fit 245/75s. Ive been doing some research and i see a whole bunch of options between spacers, blocks, springs etc etc. Im not looking to dig through junkyards, around here they wanted 45$ for a used headlight...I think id rather order some parts online. but my question is...What would you guys recommend I should get for my first budget lift...Im not trying to spend any more than two hundred dollars :x
Sorry if this question has been beat to hell, i searched it and couldn't find any answers i was really looking for.

Thats all you need, is ZJ springs and rear shackles? Hows the ride quality..
And does it matter what years/Engine size for the V8? i know they made the 5.2 and another bigger one..

If i go with the plastic spacers, will i have to get new shocks? Mine are almost shot right now, but i eventually want to get up to a 3inch with all new springs shocks etc. Can I get shocks that would work with three inches of lift and laso work with the 2 inch, and how long would they be. And whats a good brand?

If your only doing two inches your stock shocks will be fine. Unless you are doing a ton of flexing stock shocks can handle up to 3inches. if you do blocks up front and S10 procomp AAL's in the back you your looking at about $85 on ebay
