Finished my Ford injector swap! A little advice
Well, last night I managed to change my front brakes, clean my throttle body, and do my ford injector/ FPR swap!
Anyways, the injector swap was easy. My fuel rail was full of rusty crap though... So word of advice.... CLEAN YOUR FUEL RAILS OUT!! Especially around the #6 injector and the FPR.
Results: my XJ runs better than ever! No real noticeable power increase, but it idles MUCH better, it is more responsive, fuel mileage? Yet to be determined. I made one boo boo that I would not advise. I reused my old O rings. The new ones I had ordered didn't come in. I did however, inspect the ones that were on my stock injectors and they were still soft and pliable with no damage. Used a lot of spray lube to install the injectors. No leaks! BUT..... I am NOT ADVISING for anyone to reuse their old o rings. Use new o rings always!
So, for anyone that has issues finding neon 703's, don't be afraid to use the ford injectors and swap the FPR!
The vehicles that I found these parts on were as follows..
Injectors : 1995 ford thunderbird with a 4.6L v8
FPR : 1993 or 4 caravan with a 3.3L v6
