Finally some flex pics with the new lift.
Its a 6.5" from Rough Country with 15x10 soft 8s and 35" Pro Comp Extreme M/Ts. The only issue im having is that the lower control arms hit the metal where the shock bolts be fore it even begins to go down. So it limits the amount it can flex. Any body else run into this???

Get out the grinder and notch your shock mounts out. I did before I installed my new Rough Country X-Flex control arms. I know that added another inch or two that the axle can now droop.

Thanks buck. I did a lil bit before i put them on but i guess it wasnt enough. Not only does it limit the droop but its beating the crap out of the brand spankin new Control arms.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to eyeball how much to take off. I think I actually took off too much. When they put my XJ on the lift to mount the tires and it fully drooped. The shocks ran out out of travel before the suspension did. At full droop on the shocks, there was still about a half inch between the LCA and where I cut the shock mounts to. Guess I need to get some longer travel shocks to get the full effect of my new control arms. I also took the parking brake links off the rear axle. That gained me a couple more inches of droop in the rear.

Yeah, I'm gonna do some creative grinding and dremmeling to make a little more room for the tires to move when I stuff them up in the front wheel wells. Gotta keep the flares on around here because the local Stormtroopers love to write tickets for tires sticking out past the flares.
