So I replaced the Evap core, heater core, accumulator on 2000 Jeep cherokee sport I was given. I have also done a partial transmission fluid change as well as TC case fluid change and both diffs. I have also grease all the fittings underneath to bring it up to snuff 123,500 miles, newly acquired. My question is.....at idle the car seems to vibrate sometimes, rpms are perfect and smooth its not in the engine. It seems to have something to do with the serpentine belt. I can hear it as well as feel it through the dash slightly. I am wondering if this has something to do with the AC working now as it hadn't worked in quite awhile. It will vibrate then suddenly stop and run smooth. It is also squealing when accelerating sometimes, not all the time, it also squeals with low speed maneuvers such as turning into a parking spot etc. All these issues seem to stem from the front of that car Serpentine belt area, has nothing to do with drivetrain. I am wondering if the tension on the belt is off or because the condenser was not really being used and now it is engaging the clutch if its out of whack in someway. Any help would be much appreciated.

It sounds like it's the belt. AC, and the steering pump both run off the Belt, so when they are under a load the belt is slipping. Same while accelerating, the belt is slipping from the drag being created by all the components. Make sure it's tight (Pull/push on the belt lightly and see how much it moves) and i would go ahead and replace it.

 

I am pretty sure I found the vibration culprit, a cracked electric fan blade. As far as the squealing goes. I have bought a new belt, so I will see if that helps.
