i'm new to this jeep thing so bear with me. i have a 95 xj sport, 4.0 high output, dana-30 up front, dana 35 rear, ax-15 trans and an np-231 tansfer case. whenever the truck is moving (coasting, clutch in, clutch out, any gear) there's an odd squeak coming from what sounds like the trans/t-case area, what culd this be? its almost a plasticy squeak. also the truck clunks a bit between shifts, possibly u-joints? and is it normal for the trans to be kinda loud during shifts? i have no carpeting so this could be a factor.

 

could be u-joints,tranny or TC mounts,even motor mounts,start checking them
