I swapped the steering colum out on my 91 xj for the one from my 89 parts rig that has tilt, intermitant wiper settings ect.

Only real issue I had was the ignition switch down on the lower part of the collum was different, no big deal swapped the one from the original.

Now, my first question is what is needed to make the intermitant wiper settings work? When I set it to that they dont do anything. The low and high settings work as normal.

Next ?, this collum had all the buttons for cruise control, I dont really need it but it would be cool to have it. What do I need to make that work? Any othe parts needed would come from my parts rig, assuming the renix and HO models used the same cruise control parts that is. both are 4.0 5 speed rigs.


Next, typical xj electric rad fan does not work. It DOES turn on when I unplug the cts. What do I do next?

You need to install a wiper delay module it plugs into wiper turn signal arm harness just in front of left knee .Aux fan wont come on unless a certain temps reached or Ac is on .

 

according to the temp guage, it runs about 210 driving down the road and 230+ when its crawing.

Use a IR thermometer on the thermostat housing to verify that, the stock gague isnt very accurate.

You could put your efan on a switch for whenever youre in traffic on offroading to help keep your engine cool. Check out the link in my sig or the write up section.

 

ok im thinking i need this wiper delay module,since my mine isnt delaying. where do i get this? cant find it on any online sites.
