Post fender flare relocation

So I cut my fenders awhile ago and now I want to put on some flares. My buddy hooked me up with his 97+ flares and I want to mount them to my '91.
Im wondering whats the best way to mount these flares on my cut fenders? Pics would be great!

Thanks

Im not sure how it would work depending on how much you cut your fender. I think it would not be long enough in the front because the 97+ stopped shorter than the pre 97s. I havent done it but I would say just line it up and mark the studs and drill out the holes.

when you relocate the flares, it doesn't matter what length they are, cause you'll have to cut/trim the flares anyways as they won't line up with the body contours anymore.

all i've done was cut them even and mount them just so they cover the cut metal and look good. then just drill and use self tappers. i tightened mine just enough to hold the flare, but still able to pop them off if needed.

but then i went with bushwackers, and now, just cut wide open.

i trimmed the fenders on my 98' and am going to use 3m attachment tape to stick the stock flares back on. no drilling and no screws to tear outta the sheet metal....

Thanks for the info guys and the pic. What I needed to hear.
Caged... did you re-use any of the mounting brackets or just drill right into the flare.

if i remember, mine had factory holes already there, with the little slot so i can just push in and up on it and it would pop off.

i have a set of 01 flares in my garage but i think they mount differently. i'll check them tomorrow and give you any ideas.
