Default fender flare question

I took off the RR fender flare and bumper end cap to see what it would look like and before i knew it i busted 4 nuts right off. Now the wife is saying to put it back on(she already knows the damage). I was wondering if i should take the rest off and leave it or if i should put them back on? And if i put it back on how to get it to stay?

the issue around here is that w/o fender flares your tires stick out enough to be illegal. so id make sure your not in violation cause it would be a ****ty reason to get a ticket. double sided tape works, find somebody who can help you replace the broken hardware, pull the rest of the plastic of and give it a nice clean look... idk... try a thread search, too...

yeah no problem with violating any rules as they dont care and we have no inspections to worry about, i just pounded out the old bolts that have 3 tack welds holding them to the metal and then zipped tied it, works pretty good. i would of just left them off but wife was complaining that it was our family vehicle...im thinking i really need to go into work extra for awhile and save some money up to buy another xj to have fun with, i still told her that im gonna put a 3" on it and some 31's haha
