New to the Jeep world so bear with me.
I have a 1999 Cherokee Sport 4.0 and last night when I was driving it home it started to sputter and jerk around when giving it gas. When the rps are above 3k it's smooth and generally idles smooth but from 800-3000 rpm it will jump around and almost feel like it's running out of gas.
I went on a trail yesterday and noticed I pulled the o2 sensor wires for the second sensor and the front o2 sensor also has the wires pulled.
Could this be the issue? Regardless I am replacing the o2 sensors and building a wire guard.
Has anyone had this issue or know what it could be (o2 sensors or something else)
I also have a bad alternator, sometimes the voltage will drop to nothing or spike at 19+ volts as well as a worn belt (just got the jeep and she needs some love) so I was seeing if anyone has any input into what alternator and belt to get, I will be going offroading a lot and in some rather wet areas so a belt that would be able to withstand that would be ideal.
