Muddeprived, I really appresate the sugetion. So simple looks like might be it. Took it out and each gear is a diffrent speed VS GPS. Raining in NJ so cant do much about it right now. But my dads friend is over and taught me most about mechanics and he said you can tell the rear diffrential was off before as they use the black sealent stuff instead of a gasket. Looks like they changed rear gear ratio and never corrected the speedo and thats why its off each gear a diffrent speed and rocketing the jeep 0-60 in 6secs. As am not really doing 60 in 6seconds lol

Do you know if a 94 automatic tranny uses the "looly-pop" looking gear in tranny or need the the ECU needs the correction?

I play with cars alot and never thought of the most simplest thing in the world lol

your speedo shouldnt be off with that tire size. ive run 31's on both my jeeps and the speedo was still perfect.

Right now, it looks like it is off not from the size but looks like the rear gear ratio might have been changed. The diffrentail cover has been off before as it has gasket seal all over it and not a gasket that maybe the gear ratio has been changed and the person that did it never corrected the speedo. As like am going 25 it says 20 and doing 55 says 46 and not exact like that.

Never noticed any of this before as it only gets driven to the woods to wheel with then put away. Wasnt to I got new tires and been taking it on the road I notice stuff like this lol

Guess when have a chance pull the diffrencal cover and count the teeth and divide by the spindle to find out my gear ratio the old fashtion hard way.

Does anyone know how the speedo is controled on a 94, weather need a ECU recalibration or a "lolly-pop" looking gear that goes into the tranny?

dont need to remove the cover and count teeth. jack up the rear and put it on jack stands so tires are off the ground. while you rotate the rear tire one full revolution, count how many times the driveshaft spins. it should do 3 and 1/2 revolutions for stock gears (3.55). four and a half revolutions would be 4.56 gears. you get the idea?

But 6.1sec like I said is sporty performance car numbers like my G6 GTP, or Eclipse GT, Colbalt SS SC, and so on. A 6.1 0-60 breaks to ruffly a 14.5-14.9 quartermile if the top end holds true. Thats crazzy lol.

My freind thinks some one may have put 4.10/4.11 gears in it but not sure on that either. I really dont know, it does have decent power for a 3100 lbs vechile but still, doesnt seem right for a cherokkee I would think lol

iirc stock 0-60 is roughly 7.9 seconds in a ho (varied)

my xj feels a tad quicker than stock, with the low gearing, n' such.

I might get to 60 in a couple of minutes in mine he he.

Definitly think you should post a video pointed at the speedo.

0-60 in 6 seconds IMO is not possible stock so I can't believe it till I see it.

I call on this one.
