I'd want to keep the temp no higher than 210. So you'd want to hook to a switch to keep the temp down. I'm not sure how close mine is to the radiator but I know of other vehicles I've had and others I've seen over the yrs that were at least as close as yours. Yours shouldn't be a problem.

Either wire them up to a switch or see if you can locate a replacement coolant fan control switch that comes on sooner. Say 210 or so. NAPA may be able to match one up for you.

I ran both mine through relays then had one be one with the ignition and the other on a toggle switch in case i need the extra air flow.

U need to be very careful when replacing the factory OE rad fan set-up with aftermarket efans. The last thing u want to do is loose/lessen air flow/CFM capacity thru the rad. The factory OE efan thumps pretty good regarding CFM air flow and the factory OE belt driven fan, with a good fan clutch, will move way more air than the factory OE efan at just off idle.
Do your home work, look at/compare the aftermarket efan numbers to the factory OE efan numbers.....again, u do not want to come up short on air flow. The factory OE rad is marginal in size (small), u don't want to decrease air flow thru a dinky radiator.
