Default Fan Clutch Help Please

Bought a grand cherokee hd fan clutch to upgrade my fan clutch on my 96 Cherokee. I go to remove my old fan clutch and it looks as if the nuts are welded onto the pulley and that the clutch fan is part of the pulley itself? Can anyone help me out to if this is correct for my year model and if not, how I go about removing it and what to replace it with.

Any help is greatly appreciated

No they aren't welded. Those nuts have built in lock washers. You're good to go.

The nuts are not welded, do you have a proper 6 point box end wrench so can loosen the nuts and not round them off any more?

1/2" nuts. you will need a screwdriver or pry bar to stick between the studs and center shaft to stop it from slipping so you can get the nuts off.
just did this today actually.

i'm just concerned about the grand cherokee fan. is it larger than the xj? cause that would interfere with your stock xj shroud.

Thanks I appreciate it everyone. It sure does feel like they are welded on there. tried putting screwdriver in between bolts to stop pulley from turning but no dice.

I just got the fan clutch that I was going to put the old fan blade on. I will update if I can ever get the old one off.
