Default fair trade?

I'm wanting to trade my wife's 05 dodge stratus for a newer cherokee, the stratus kbb value is a bit over 6k, but i don't mind taking a hit since i don't like it much, would i be better to hold out or is this a pretty decent rig?

I don't know anything about the newer years, like what Sport means, or pros/cons of this model year.

My Internet was being weird last night, it works now. The only thing with the post 99s is that they have the weaker 0331 heads. For most that isn't a problem but in some cases people end up with cracked heads at which point they just replace them.

Lots of Cherokees out there and they are all good - pick the one you like most and go for it.

id say pass. the lift suggests he took it offroad, if its not gonna be HEAVILY modified (thus be beneficial to you as a purchase b/c you would get to skip spending money on a bunch of stuff like lift, tires, or other mods adding up to thousands of dollars), so basically you taking the hit of a car that MAY have been poorly cared for without the benefit. the price isnt too amazing either, nor the miles. When i bought my cherokee it had 95k on it, over $5000 of modifications, and bluebook was $6,000, i paid $5,100 for it. just my 2 cents. Oh and roof damage = TOTALED.

i would look for one that you won't have to have body damage fixed unless your going to modify the rig and run it on trails. Cherokees are a dime a dozen. keep your eye open and you'll find one in better shape and less miles for just a few bucks more.

i think i'll be better to hold out for a better less dented up jeep. i've posted the car on craigslist and will wait and see if anything better comes up. I've got a problem with being hasty sometimes and I think it will be worth it to see what else comes 'round.

FWIW it took me 3 months to find my jeep. The longer you wait the more you will be happy in the long run.
