Default Factory wiring harness options

Dors amyone know if the xj platform used the same wiring harness no matter the options? I know some manufactures did this to save cost. I keep finding unused commectors all over my xj which is a pretty base line model. If this is the case I may be able to.add some options from the jy.

yeah the harness is the same, so I guess those extras can be used if you figure out what they are for

Default Changing harness

If I'm chaning out my wiring harnes under the hood and under the dash, how do the two disconnect at the firewall. I don't want to break the connection but having a hard time seperating the two. Any suggestions?
