Default Is this factory (storage box thingy)?

I found this thing at the salvage yard and I had to have it. Just wondering if its an aftermarket piece or factory? Thanks.

I can't answer your question, but that picture just kind of made my day. I recently bought a 99 Cherokee and this is was the first thing I went digging around for on the forums.

I need one of those. Time to drive down to Denver and scour every junkyard there and along the Front Range, I suppose...

The only one I ever seen it was a disc changer.

I have an 8" built in subwoofer where that would go.

But it looks factory.

Yeah, this one was housing a CD changer that I decided to leave behind. Did not want to strip the interior to get the complete harness out I guess.

Do not mean to get off topic but I was junk yarding the other day and see an amp under the rear seat on the driver side and it had Jeep engraved into it. Would that be a stock or aftermarket? It did not look aftermarket really.

I think the Infinity sound system had an outboard amp just like that. Those XJs probably also had tweeters installed by the mirrors in the doors
