Factory gas skid w/ aftermarket hitch. Will it work?

Factory gas skid w/ aftermarket hitch. Will it work?
Hey I'm looking to get both a gas skid and a rear hitch. I've searched on the forum and found a variety of different situations mostly depending on the type of hitch being installed. The hitch I've found is a Draw Tite 75054 Hitch as seen Here. The Factory skid I am told is nothing too special but for the price I can get it at, it's better than nothing in my situation. Installation instructions on the page say drilling of the skid is required but I am curious as to if there is an alternative. Thanks
