I tried a search but couldnt find the exact problem that I am having, so I need your help guys!

I want to completely disable the factory alarm on my 91 XJ Limited.

It hasn't been a problem until today when it went off when I opened a door and It wouldn't shut off with the key in the door until the horn stopped cycling. The horn stopped but the lights were still flashing, turned the key in the door and they stopped flashing. Oh, I have no remote key fob thingy.

Can someone please tell me the quick and dirty way to disable the factory alarm completely. I do not want it to be able to be set, ever!

I had the same problem I got a 91 limited also shown on real website not the forum but for the green and Orange wire coming off the alarm box I sliced I.to it and grounded it out to floor board I ruffled the paint up screwed it down now mine works fine just my security light flash randomly on start up but still fires up. If u post a email address ill send u a pic I only got mobile app won't let me up load nothin

 

Also that wire runs to the door lock it is the only green/Orange wire in your door check all door locks for faulty connects or wire fallen off broke rusted etc...
