The Cherokee I own(1990) has a stupid aftermarket air filter installed by the previous owner. Its obviously in need of servicing as you can see in the pic,and I dont want to replace it with another aftermarket unit. I would like to return this back to a stock configuration with the stock box and hose.

What years will be a direct fit to replace this after market unit?

Ive been told my Year has the
Renix" system and that may make a difference,anyone know for sure?

Ebay listings show 1991-2001,but nothing earlier.Would a 1991 unit fit my 1990?

 

yes it does matter but the way yours looks i dont think it would matter the only difference is that the renix system has a ton of vac line there are acutuly 2 that conect to the back of the air box lid

 

You can probably pick up a stock box @ the JY for $10.
