Hi all,

Heading into my next lift but have decided I only need about 3''.

I saw some options for longer springs and shocks that will provide a factory 3'' lift with no modification.

Compared with like a RC 3'' lift. What are the differences and befits?

I assume both being new leafs.

Not really sure what you mean by a "factory 3" lift with no modification" but seeing as how I'm currently researching a 3 or 3.5" lift I will share my thoughts.

I think the most important part of your lift is selecting the rear leaf packs. Most complaints about lift kits seem to be a result of the leafs, IMO. RC leafs are too short, resulting in 90° shackle angles and poor ride quality. RE leafs may or may not give you a good shackle angle (I've seen various results on this here, I'm still undecided on this) but gives you WAY more than 3.5" of lift. They'll end up from 4.5-5" of lift AFTER they settle. This may lead to driveline vibes and more expensive parts to level your jeep and make it drivable. {RE guys, please note I said 'may'}

The next 2 companies I looked at were Zone and Rusty's. I couldn't get much feedback on Zone leafs and resulting shackle angles, but did find one thread where a guy had problems with the leafs sagging and inch and even then were at the 90° angle. On the other hand, I've gotten feedback from a handfull of people saying Rusty's 3.5" leafs netted proper (or acceptable) shackle angle with the stock shackle setup.

I really wanted to go with either Zone or RE, but based on the information I've been able to find I have decided on the Rusty's leafs...again, unless someone can change my mind. That said, I have no personal experience with any of these companies, this is all based on my searches on this site.

Check out Rusty's 3" lift kit, maybe add an adjustable track bar and LCA's and call it a day...
