Yes the only down with the f150 coils will be a bone jarring ride since they were meant for a vehcile with alot more weight up front so compress the coils.

but it will give you the lift you want.

Use Grand Cherokee Up-Country V-8 coils instead.
UPDATE: Use Grand Cherokee V8 coil springs with an extra set of oem isolators instead. You'll get a flexier -and- smoother ride with the same relative lift from these coil springs.
Front Grand Cherokee Springs 1993 - 1996: Moog Part Number: CC782 - NEW $93.99 at Advance Auto. Try to score these used at the bone-yard so you can grab the isolators too!

Depends on what kind of ride you like. I did a F150 swap on the back of a Pathfinder and like the ride better. Gave it more of a truck feel I'm used to than a softer car like ride. Springs were stiff enough to toss the sway bars and never noticed a difference.

What about the variable rate coils that come in some of the late '70 4x4 F150? Can they be used and are the any better in ride? I ask cause I know of one sittin in a field on blocks and I can get them for free while fighting the wasp.

Thanks James L.

Hey just look on ebay search ''jeep xj springs'' i got 3 in rough country springs for 109$ and i got lucky and found some rancho 5000 at a junkyard on another xj for 60 bucks... if you only go 3 inches in the front thats all you really need i didnt even lift the rear and i have 31's on it and i just go threw trails though but just try ebay and your local pick a part and you can lift it for a 180 bucks
