Hey did you all see the episode when they jacked up either a f250,350 or a chevy1 ton, i dont remember what it was, but they put a 12" lift on it, and then installed air ride to jack it up another 5 " on demand, now i dont wanna do anything extreame like that, but its a thought, is that possible on a cherokee? so you can have normal height for round town and raise it for trails? just a thought!

Yeah, you could do that. The front would be easy.. the back would either require a customer 4 link or running a single leaf rear with bags. This could also help when 4wheeling, if you were flexing you could use the airbag of the down tire to help keep it in contact with the ground.

actually it would...
If the up tire has no air in the bag and the drooping tire has a full bag the down tire will be pressed further down.. which could be the difference between a slipping tire and traction. As long as the system is set up with 4 switches for all 4 corners and not set up just front and rear or just side to side, it must allow independent control over each corner.
It would also help keep the body some what level during flexing situations.

my oppinion is air bags are for show and a soft ride thats why mini trucks use them and when you see a full size pickup with em its a dead giveaway thats its a "show rig" if anything i would only run them in mudpits not on a tight trail plus it would be expensive

i agree it would be great for leveling during flexing situations. My buddy had bag lifts on is f250 and its good to have so you can get over stuff better on the trails but when it came to some ruts they didn't turn out in his favor. his 36's trying to follow my cj on 44's i left some nasty ruts behind some times . they didn't do much to trying to get the axle of the dirt

In the off road world.. atleast for crawling hydraulics would be better, but air bag could work as well, but would be more vulnerable to trail damage.
HOWEVER, Take a look at the Scorpian MK (http://www.scorpion4x4.com/) which runs bags.. It was one of the vehicles that started the tube buggy craze.. along with the Avalanche Engineering Sniper.
