Default Extended brake line install/questions!

So I got my extended lines today and will be doing the install tomorrow. Do I need any special tools to disconnect/reconnect the old/new lines? What is the best method for bleeding the brakes?

They sell a tool which usually helps but it can be done with an adjustable wrench. And the best way to bleed them if there is only one of you is a one man bleeder kit. You can pick them up at your local parts store.

flare wrenches are recommended, but a crescent will work as long as you're really careful to not strip the edges of the screw in nut. Best to have another person for bleeding the brakes. Top off the fluid, then have them push the pedal and hold it while you very slightly loosen the bleeder valve. leave it slightly open for about 3 seconds then tighten it back up. repeat this process a few times until you get a strong, steady stream (no interruptions or "weakening" of the fluid stream) of brake fluid coming from the bleeder valve.

Would be dot3/4 do NOT use dot 5. Dot 5 is silicone base and used for newer high performance/race vehicles.

Just make sure that when you start turning the fitting that the tubing is not turning with it. If it does, you'll twist off the tubing and have to replace the line.
