Bought an engine for my first XJ back around 97. Ran great for two years till the oil pump failed. Had another within 10 days and they even paid for the install.

Not sure about the 4.0L's, but I know the few SBC's my company has gotten from them burned oil. Course that was 10 years ago. I would hope they've gotten better since then.
