Was just thinkin' the same thing... It's not one of the stupid laws either. It's a health/safety issue.

what about georgia mine is just a cat and no muffler i love the way it sounds i got some fools who know nothing about xjs fooled they think its a diesel

read hte wording. in texas, the exhaust must exit past the last opening to the cabin. which means past the rear doors windows for me. on my 79 chevy stepside, it exited right out from under the back of the cab with straight pipes. it sounded badass!!!
but yes, safety reasons. exhaust gas being circulated into the cabin is not so good. first the headaches, then being tired, then you crash and kill someone. and you know that xjs are getting scarce so losing one for a bad reason is even worse then losing one to rust or something. plus losing people who like them is bad too

in my part of georgia there are no inspections....and the only time they even look at your ride is if its fogging the place with smoke (and im talkin lots of it) or if somethings draggin the ground
