Exhaust Pipe Rattling on Trans Mount

Just put on a new exhaust manifold. After that, the exhaust pipe is touching the trans mount (actually the cross member I think it is called).
I think it was touching before and was the source of noise before, but now it is there quite a bit. Now there is a distinct rattling rumble as the pipe hits the metal.
I have a temp fix where I stuck a piece of rubber from an old shock between the two, but that probably won't last and could possibly melt from the heat?
So... what is the right way to fix this?
