Hey guys, I was changing my power steering reservoir tank and now, I can't get the new tank to seal proper it leaks at the O-ring. Question is is there a Nother Oring that fits inside the pump where the tank pushes on? It didn't leak before, so I'm thinking when I pulled the The old tank reservoir off maybe I lost something ?? Two O-rings or just one? Sorry for the stupid question... Thanks any help much appreciated!

Can someone recommend a good power steering pump with reservoir??
I noticed rock auto has one 60 bucks.
Not trying to skimp here I just want a pump that won't leak.
Thanks in advance..

It has a single o-ring but you may have tore it. And I'd upgrade to a WJ pump but that's just me. If I need to replace anything I upgrade since price point isn't too far off

Took it apart again and put it back on with a new o ring, filled it up and it still leaked .
So know I'm thinking I have to buy a new pump with the reservoir.
Will the WJ. use the same bracket ?
My pump was not leaking before I just cracked my reservoir when I was changing my motor mounts. The reservoir I ordered was crap but it was the only one I could find 60 bucks too! Total crap

You have a defective part then, sad part is, it isn't rare. WJ pumps can fit the stock bracket. Look up junkyard part swaps:cherokeeforum

It has all the info on what years to grab and what will fit the the XJ will little or no modification. Plus WJ pumps are stronger. While you're working on the power steering add a cooler in line to help if you want.

Just ordered the BBB power steering pump. I'll have my old pump for a back up.
Called Napa and they said this is the brand they carry .
Expensive little mistake I made damaging The reservoir...

I replaced my power steering pump/reservoir on my 93 GC 6 cyc. It ran fine and then started leaking around the connection between the reservoir and pump. When I replaced the pump I ran the wheel back and forth with the cap off the reservoir to purge the air out of the system. Now two weeks later it is leaking again around the reservoir where it connects to the pump. This was a second complete replacement, pump and reservoir so all was new. I took the first one back figuring it was defective. So I took it apart and used some permatex around the o ring and re-connected the reservoir to the pump. It seemed to me like the o ring was not very tight. Could this be a bad rebuild or something else going on? Is the proper bleeding just moving the wheel back and forth with the top off so the air can Burp out of the fluid?
