I would like to replace the header on my '01 soon. Is there a way to modify the header or intake manifold to make this APN fit properly or is there another header in this price range that will fit under the '01 intake manifold?

Also... i will be installing a Flex Pipe just before my CAT, hopefully to help keep my new Header from cracking!

I hear that they work well. Think Autozone sells them for just a few bucks...

I don't know anything about where to find a header for your XJ, but...

From what i understand, the late model exhaust manifolds are a much better design than the older versions.

I'm guessing that this is why aftermarket headers are not as popular as replacements???

Yes, easy fix but you'll need a grinder to take some material off the headers mounting flange in one spot.

That's all I was thinking it would take...

The main reason that I want to replace the header is so that I can install one that has been coated or heat wrapped to try to combat the intake manifold from heat soaking. I like working on my vehicles, so I might as well upgrade parts that will get me better gas mileage in the process as well as some extra power.

The APN exhaust manifold was so highly recommended by this thread that I decided to order one. Unfortunately, they seem to be moving very slowly as far as shipping the item. Can anyone share their experience with APN in regards to how quickly they fill their orders?

Thanks

When I ordered mine, it showed up in a week. How long have you been waiting?

Call them and see what's up.

I placed the order on Sunday the 17th of June and it showed up as billed on my account on the 18th of June. I received an email confirming the order that also stated that I would receive another email once the item had shipped. It's now a full business week later, and nearly a calendar week later and I have received no item, nor have I been notified that it was shipped.

I got mine maybe 4 months or so ago so I don't remember exactly how my purchase from them went. Give it a little more time. A week isn't a very long time. You can always call and check on the status of it though

Check your spam folders for email from them... Or give them a friendly call. Stuff happens sometimes, and a Reputable business understands that.

Thanks guys. I'm not hitting the panic button just yet. I just like to keep a close eye on things.
