i have a 98 xj 4.0 4x4. i had been having an issue with exhaust leak but when its warm its pretty quiet but cold its loud. i decided to purchase a new gasket from dealership. got it and disassembled mine and took it off to find out it had a crack in the pipe.i did some research to find out it was common and also needed to replace the motor mounts which I've already just finished. anyways question is will it be ok for me to have it welded? i was just gonna have that done because its cheaper than new and the original is in pretty good shape besides that dang crack. anyways, thanks y'all.
