Recently when I started my XJ, a loud ticking-like noise starts happening, however it's not a lifter tick. It sounds similar to a lack of oil I think.. however my oil is fine. My friends think it's an exhaust leak. It sounds like a tractor or something when I start it up and drive. It goes away after a few minutes, then comes and goes. I can try and record a video if needed.
Does this sound like an exhaust leak? And where's a good place to buy either stock or upgraded manifolds?
Edit: It sounds like this:
Cheers

Oh OK. I just added a video I found of what it sounds like. Where's a good place to buy a replacement? I see places like JCWhitney come up, but surely there are others? lol Also is it worth it to buy an aftermarket one or just go with stock?

Yeah i'm gonna stick with exhaust leak. You can pull the airbox to get a good look at it, that's actually how i discovered mine was cracked.
As for replacement headers, I used to have a good one bookmarked but I'm in class for the next 2 hours. I'll see if i still have it when i get home.

Get down there and visually inspect your manifold. If it's still stock, probably cracked. And have you looked at your motor mounts lately? They're probably screwed as well. You definitely want to replace the mounts and your manifold at the same time.
And you can't find a better header for the price than this one:

I think I see a few cracks.. This noise has got to go though. Should I just go with a quality manifold or spend a little more and get headers? Where are some sites that have good prices on headers?
What about this?

So I think I'm going to go with Frank's headers that I posted. I talked to him and he said they'd be a great improvement over stock, but the stainless would be better in the long run. I can't budget that right now so I'm going with the one from that link.

How does that compare to the headers from Serious?
