Update for ya'll went for an interview and noticed when the Jeep is in neutral I can rev the engine and have no tapping sound but when its in drive it returns doesnt do it in reverse either. Dunno what it would be besides maybe the trans.

A friend was convinced he had tapping from the lower end but it would come and go. He could not identify a specific area. We let it idle and revved it occasionally until I noticed his power steering pulley was wobbling to the rhythm of the noise. He replaced the pulley and noise is gone.. Might be worth a look.

Elongate the holes in the flexplate. Bolts won't hold it anymore. Have to replace flexplate which requires engine or trans removal. No big deal.

The money ***** strikes again took it to a shop to have the front end checked it needs pretty much a whole new front end and its def not an exhaust leak :/ gonna try cruisers fix first then worry about the front end when I can afford it.
