Hi all. I just finished an exhaust job on my XJ...my first exhaust job ever for that matter. Everything looks alright except for the tailpipe comes close to the frame crossmember. After adjusting as much as possible I can only get a 1/8" thick piece of cardboard to move freely between them...It's tight but not touching. Can a tailpipe come that close to the frame or will it need some kind of heat shielding?
