European Cherokee with 2.5L TD Engine
Dear all,
Who can help me out with technical informatiom about the VM 2.5TD engine? I have bought a german Repair Manual, but must say that the given information is pretty poor. Currently I have a problem with the brake booster that does not work. The diesel engine has 2 vacuum pumps: one in front of the engine, above the oil pump, the second one integrated with the Alternator. I have checked and cleaned both (vane-) pumps checked the hoses for leaks, but the pumps give no vacuum. Who can provide me with some additional info about the 2.5TD engine?
