Hi,

I've been searching the forums for a while trying to find a method of extracting the error code from my jeep. The check engine light came on after the jeep hesitated a few times after several start cycles. The rpm would drop and I could hear a clunk sound. After a second it would return to normal and run fine.

This morning the CEL came on straight away and I haven't had any hesitation issues but the jeep does seem a bit sluggish.

Anyway, I've tried the key methods described in the forums but all I get is the instrument panel checks then it returns to my odometer. The number 2.3 does come up before this cycle starts however, is this my error code?

Any help would be appreciated.

You go to autozone or advance and tell them you have a check engine light... they come out and check it... for free. OR you can buy an obd II code scanner.
