I changed out my tps sensor today and since my 98 xj has been bringing up this code and I know that seeing how I had a tps code the p0700 can accompany it..but I suspected with me switching out the tps sensors and that code going away that the p0700 code would go away aswell but it didnt..any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated

I didnt have to clear the tps code it did on it's own.i cleared the p0700 quite a few times I took it around the parking lot for a brief min and it went away then came back on...maybe I'm low on trans fluid?would that cause a p0700 code?
I have this code as well. My transmission is shifting erratically. I found an open/cut ground wire to the transmission connectors right where they come out of the main harness. I've added a ground wire from that wire to a ground block. I've also added a dedicated ground wire to each of the 6 main engine bay ground points. Cleaned and dielectric greased every connector. I finally have no more codes! In the process I found and repaired several other cut or frayed wires. I believe bad grounds and cut wires cause 90% of engine and trans problems. That's why you hear so often about people throwing parts at their truck. I hope this helps someone.
