Question Engine Tick

I have a 2000 XJ with about 130K on it. I do all the regular maintenance and then some. Besides a sticky lifter, does anyone know of a common or easy way to quiet this down/fix it. Any insight to exactly what this could be would be much appreciated. Thanks!

engine noises are kind of a normal thing with the 4.0 try different oil. 10-30 or 10-40

IF IT's just sticky, you could see if full blend synthetics clean it up over time. Seafoam. MMO. Lucas injector cleaner... Try em. If it don't go away, then a valve or lifter is worn out and is just ticking. Lol
