If I knew I had bad battery cables and didn't have the upstream O2 sensors installed, and I was using a coil rail that was working fine on the previous engine, I think I would concentrate entirely on the things I knew were wrong first before introducing a random red herring.

I was referring to the fact that the OP's poorly running engine with the obvious blown head gasket that got so hot it throw a rod or bearing.....no way to know if the coil pack was any good in the first place, and certainly after reaching high temps it could have a crack in it...they were not and are not the best coil pack design in the first place.

Speaker ----> Encoding ----> Transmission ----> Decoding ----> Listener

The problem here is that his brain is encoding his message with different, less precise filters than what we're using to decode it. It's like his transmitter is weak, and we're having to boost the gain on our receiver to make out what he's saying and ask him to repeat the parts we don't catch. There's a lot of noise in his message as well. If he's used to communicating with people with similar filters or people who are accustomed to his broken transmitter, he may not even realize he has a problem.

OP, fix your transmitter. Everyone else, bump up your gain and be patient.
That's a solid 10-4, you're coming in loud and clear Shaky. I was able to turn my gain down for a moment but it seems that it's maxed out on the regular

Ya know the sad thing is, when I read posts like OPs. I get about 2 sentences in, say **** it and press the back button.

Same thing with resumes. if yours sucks, the employer reads about a sentence worth of content then chucks it in the waste bin.
