Default Engine Stand

I need to bolt my block onto an engine stand. Does anyone know what size bolts, or at least what thread I need to be able to do this.

Thanks

I had to take my transmission bolts to the hardware store to get them matched up, If memory serves me they were 12M x 1.75 4.5" long for the bottom, 3.5" for the top.

Best bet is to take your old mounting bolts to a hardware store an get them matched up.

Thanks for the info. The donor engine I have didnt come with the bolts, and the bolts in the jeep wont come off until the swap. I will just have to try a couple and go from there.

Measure the length of the sleeve that the screws pass through, add the nominal diameter of the screw - that's your length. If it's in between lengths, go with the next one up

For the 6-242, the screws are 3/8"-16 (upper) and 7/16"-14 (lower)

For the 4-150, I believe they're either all M10-1.5 or M10-1.5 (upper) and M12-1.75 (lower.)

No-one can really give you a useful length for your stand, unless they happen to have the exact same model of stand...

I will measure the sleeve, but do you know how deep the bolt holes are, so I know how much to add for the final length?
Thanks
