I just put a CSF 3 all metal 3 row radiator in & works great. But you may wanna try new heater hoses & did you use silicone or a gasket when u did thermostat cause too much silicone may mess with flow of heater hoses.

my 94 loves 210, my electric fan starts at around 215. My mpgs and power suffered with the 180 t-stat that I initially installed. I freaked out when I first bought my jeep and saw it hovering at 210. I put a stock type t-stat back in when I had no heat the following winter.

I freaked just the same. I stay around 210 while driving. It will only rise above that when I am at a stop and it has to be stoped for an extended period. I have noticed that for some reason now that it is warmer outside the engine temp runs a little more consistant. Seemed that during the winter my engine would stay warm and my fan was always kicking on.

240 degrees is an overboil. I would never let it get over 215. I'm at ~195* or under all the time. I turn the heater on and after 10 min my temps drop to 160. My heater works great also.
Alum 2 row radiator
fail-safe 195* stat
paper gasket on thermo housing with no leaks
new upper and lower hoses
green coolant
vacuum flush 3 times during system renewal removed chunky milky goo that was stuck back in the motor.
I towed a 2800 lb load up cajon yesterday to silverwood and I never saw it get over 200*.

the I6s run a little warm but with some of the later years the computer will automatically shut down the engine when it gets way too warm but as for it running 210-215 thats normal. Most engines run that warm, I know cadilacs northstar always ran between 200 and 210. As long as your electric fan continues to kick in around 215 the engine will be fine.
