After taking the engine apart to fix a lifter noise and finding a horrible amount of wear on all the bearings. I am doing a complete rebuild and need to know if there is anything i should look out for on these engines. Or anything that you wish you would have done when rebuilding yours. I am new to jeeps so any info would help.

 

with a lot of wear, deffinately take to the machine shop. have the mains checked and line honed as needed.

 

just check specs on everything and make sure measures out right. If not replace it.

 

And dont buy cheap parts. I got mine from cap.

 

The engine at the machine shop right now getting the full work up. what about after i put it back together. for the break in period. Is there a specific oil that is better to use on these engines.
