Default Engine protection.

I am wondering. Is there any kind of splash guard or skid plate that would help eliminate mud and water flying in the engine. I know you can not completely seal the area but I am wondering if there are any modifications that can help protect a little better than what the stock currently offers.

Anybody running a front skid plate?
I saw this one but so far it is the only one I have seen.

I am also going to start sealing off all the random holes in the front end to help this. Any input would be greatly welcomed.

I've seen people ghetto rig heavy rubber skirts under the engine bay aroung the skid plate. It worked, it was just a little un sightly if you crawled underneath.
Thats the cheapest way to go. Funny thing is they still had plenty of mud around at the end of the day. I make it a point to rinse out the engine bay frequently, I'm in the old rust belt with a 3 inch lift, so you know how much road salt I get...
