Default Engine Light how I hate you!

Ok for sum reason my engine light comes on after about 15 minutes of driving, it stays on until I shut of the vehicle, and then does not appear when I start it again. It has done this consistently for a couple weeks. I am planning on going to the shop and get them to read the comp but was wondering if the had happend to anyone else.

I had to put a o2 sensor on mine, it started running rough...

I also changed the map sensor, i thought it might have been causing my light to come on, but it was the o2 sensor...no more problems...

It could be a number of things.....or not much of anything...

Good luck in finding the problem...might want to put it on a computer should show the problem...

If I remember right the 95's are still ODBI and if so you can check codes without a reader, and if it is ODBII you can goto like Autozone, Advanced Auto and such and they can scan the codes for you and give you a printout of what it says. Much cheaper then paying a shop to do the same thing.

You can read abou the codes and how to do the key method here, I just can't remember when they switched to ODBII..

So thanks to okcjeeper I used that method and came up with 3 3 5 5 im assuming the 55 ment end of codes and 33 means it was Air conditioning clutch relay circuit open or shorted sooooo my AC still works maybe after the engine has warmed up the wires are shorting somewhere???
