Replacing bearing on bottom end is a bandaid fix... Needs to be reground.. And pull the pan and look for piston skirt broken off, guess it is very common.

I must say I agree tho run it till it goes.........heavier weight oil might quiten it a bit

Thanks, same here if it wasn't my DD, I have mechaniced all my life. Currently Aircraft mechanic for the past 12 years and have done all vehicle work myself, I have a bad philosophy, if someone else can fix it, I can fix it

I have the same outlook.....mine also is if I do it atleast I know its done to the best of my abilitys....I wish my thinkin was a little different cause a clutch on a tj by yourslef on gravel sucks bad lmao

Ooh yea didn't even think about flex plate bolts lol or the flex plate holes are wobbled out !

No problem, I put a quart of lucas oil in yesterday and drove around a bit, no change in the noise. I am pulling the inspection cover today and will update with pics later. This is one of the only times I hope to find something cracked or broken
