Engine fan loud

Default Engine fan loud

only for the first one or two minues of operation hot or cold startup. Any idea's? It sounds like a vacum cleaner, and its obvious its the fan. Help appreciated, thanks.

check the bearings, or clutch, some have a clutch, mine is constant so it has bearings

Sounds like the fan clutch has gone bad. It has a bi metal spring that engages when warm. Allows the fan to basically freewheel until needed. Yours is engaged all the time now. Not very expensive and fairly easy to replace. Just be careful and not hit the radiator with a wrench.
