engine cuts out, bad harness plugs?

engine cuts out, bad harness plugs?
ok, like the title states, my engine will just die when I'm driving, and if I unplug the 2 plugs (1 flat 3 wire, and 1 sqaure 4 wire) that go to the front of the throttle body, and the 2 plugs that go to the coil (1 2 wire, and 1 flat 3 wire) it will start back up, but will die again after a few minutes to an hour or so of driving. I'm wondering if something is going out, and unplugging the plugs is resetting something, or if the plugs are just old and losing contact. and if that is the case can I just cut the plugs out and solder the wires straight throuh? thnx in advance
also, what year grand cherokee front springs should I get for the 2 inch lift?
