I got the starter in and it spins. Went and got a crank posistion sensor, now the engine cranks. I got the engine to start twice yesterday but once I give it a little skinny pedal it stalls out. When it was running it had a weak idle, sounded like it wanted to stall (rpm's were low, below 1000).

today I'm ordering a new idle air motor (the one in the jeep was carbon coated and just looked bad) and a new asd relay (i'm geussing at this, but it cost under 10 bucks so if anything I'll have a spare relay).

 

Did you ever find the issue?

I just swapped in a new engine in my wife's WJ, same codes. It starts and idles fine but as soon as i touch accelerator pedal it throws a code and then stalls out.

 

Ya, it was the cam shaft sensor. When I swapped in my electronics (my 2000 cherokee doesn't have a distributor ) I must not have positioned the sensor right. The plug should be positioned straight back, mine was off some. Once I repositioned it(top dead center and all that has), she fired right up with no problems.
