someone told me that you can pour kerosene in you oil pan after you drain you oil and run the engine for a min. to clean it up a little bit. anyone do this

I may have heard of that once before but never thought of it actually working.. If you want to clean the inside as well as intake and fuel tank,lines, injectors... I would suggest seafoam.. Place about 1/4 in your crank case(oil), another 1/4-1/2 in the intake and the rest in the fuel system. But remember this when adding any kind of cleaning solution in crank case, oil must be changed no more than 100 miles after adding.. If not youll cause more harm the good.. I repeat MUST change oil.. Other than that nothing to worry about. Just read whats on the can or watch videos online of others and how the do it.

yeah sea foam is some good $#it. The guy that told me uses it to wash out his race engines so, im not to sure about a dd

I could almost understand adding it to the oil for a bit, but I'd never imagine running it straight. Sounds lethal, but thats just my opinion.

Watch it on youtube, i did it on my 98 dakota a now it idles better than before.. still suck, but not cause of that. Anyways wait on youtube and youll see plenty of people who do it there daily drivers

pour in kerosene
run for about 1 minute
let sit for a while and drain

sounds ok to me but i dont want to be the first to try it

its always good to take an old gunked up motor and loosen all the big chunks up so the fall in the oil pan and clog the pick up screen and stop oil flo and burn up a motor not me
