Default Emergency/hand brake adjustment please help ASAP

Hey, so the adjustment nut for my emergency brake is rusted on unbelievably tight, how can I get it off? I have tried PB blaster, WD-40, polishing around with wire brush, hitting wrench with hammer. any ideas I REALLY need help, I can pull it up at least 10 notches with my little finger, and its only supposed to go half that in general.
Thanks

Let the blaster soak for a couple days or try to heat it up.

I have tried putting PB blaster on for about 2-3 months now, and I don't want to take a torch that close to the gas tank.....

What about a nut splitter (and let the jokes begin). Then chase the threads to clean them up before installing new nuts. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...FY9eQgod5C4Acw

Before you start messing with the cable adjustment, make sure your rear brakes are properly adjusted.

x3 - I've never had to adjust that cable since owning my '96 new. The brakes should be adjusted so they drag noticably when you try to spin the wheel by hand, but not so much that it is difficult to install the drum or rotate the wheel. This assumes you have rear drums.

Take it all apart, ditch the drums, and do a disc conversion
