Electrically issue (not a short)
Uh, Maybe someone can clear this up for me. I was in the jeep looking at the gauges to make sure they were lit up and what not. I noticed while the gauges were lit up but the jeep was not running I noticed the temp needle slowly going towards 260 mark or the 240 whichever is the mark before redline. I have been having overheating issues *well thats what my gauge says maybe the gauge is bad?* But as mentioned before what does that mean when the needle did that?

Well, there is new wiring underneath (passenger side of the engine bay) for the new transmission I assume. I checked wiring but I will check again.

Here is picture of the hottest or usually where the needle goes at idle.

The fan never kicked in. So either fan is bad (I remember hearing it kick in before) or the temperature gauge is screwy.

theirs one mor way to check the ac fan to see if its woring as long as this plug is getting power their is a can behind the ac compressor looks similar to this take the wire plug off that is on it and with jeep running get a piece of wire and jump between the two connectors in the plug you pulled off this will cause ac comp to start running and ac fan should run also do not leave plugged inor by pass this switch to make ac or fan come on all the time you wiil lock up compressor

Not running I was just messing with the lights.
I was told in haynes manual to wire the electric fan directly to the battery which I tried and it kept giving sparks (when the wire touched the terminal) and the metal almost welded together which I stopped before something else happened. (fail)
Edit: What do you mean jump it? Do you mean wire it to the battery or have one wire connected to both leads like (+)---wire---(-) or (+)---wire----(+battery) (-)----wire----(- battery)
